REBA McMASTER 3116
Having her school photograph taken is Reba McMaster with a lovely smile and
a twinkle in her eyes. Her christian name is Rebbeca but she has always
been known as Reba and you say it as if it was spelt like this "Reeba"
This is Margaret McKitterick having her photograph taken in a Studio.
Just look at her outfit, on her head she is wearing a velvet bow and round
her neck is a chocker made up of five strings of pearls and a large locket.
Her linen blouse is long sleeved and crocheted with a shamrock broach pinned
to the front. The rest of her outfit has been embroidered and lined as you
can see the lining inside her sleeve, remember that all of this was hand made
UNKNOWN WEDDING 3133
Sadly the people in this beautiful wedding photograph are unknown when you
look at how imaculate they are all dressed, once again this came from Antrim.
The wedding party went to Belfast to have this photo by Abernethy Photographer
by Royal Appointment to the late Queen Victoria of 29 High Street.

MAGEE FAMILY 3142
Here we have in a Belfast studio having their photograph taken is Ethel Magee
sitting on her mum's knee who is Aileen Magee.
Aileen looks lovely with her string of pearls and just look at the hand made
lace collars and cuffs.
Now Ethel was born in King Street Belfast which was not far from Smithfield
Market, Later in life Ethel got married and her surname became Malseed.
Eventually Ethel, her husband and family came to live in Antrim in 1973, but
a little birdie has told me that she will be 83 in November 2012.

MARKET DAY 3174
It's the 1970's and because it's a Friday it's Market Day in Antrim for this
market was not held in the market square but up the Oriel Road.
It was a well attended market and as you can see plenty of stalls, if you
wonder where it was on the Oriel Road it was behind McCabe's Garage.

Standing next to a brand new Royal Mail postal van in the 50's registration
CXN 69, note the spare wheel and next to it a fire extinguisher, is William

I would be very interested in finding out where the photograph was taken.
