SAINT PATRICK'S WELL 3678
Here we are at Saint Patrick’s well in Clonmel down South is one of the largest - if not the largest of all holy wells in all of Ireland. It is situated at the bottom of a long set of winding steps, shaded by a few trees in a small glen. As you approach it, the waters from the well flow into a large and shallow pond with an ancient Irish stone cross set upon a small island in the middle. It is thought that this cross dates to the fifth century. For such a large holy well and surrounding site, it is amazing just how little is actually known about this area, but it is thought that Saint Patrick passed through here and may have used this place to bathe or to baptize. Clonmel means "Honey Meadow"
On the back of the postcard was the following: To Miss E. McCord, Aldergrove, Crumlin, Co.Antrim. Dear Ena, We are having a lovely time
here, will see you on Tuesday Bridget.

The card was posted and stamped: Clonmel 4.45pm, 19th July, 1944.

GRANDMOTHER'S LOVE 3862
It's 1929 and here we have Rebbecca Pritchard and here in her back garden with her Granddaughter Emily Hanlon.
As you see Rebbecca is bending over examining whatever Emily has is her hands with all the love and tenderness that a Grandmother can give.
