This is Oxford Street in the 1950's and the lovely carthorse
is having a nice cool drink of water while a husbad, wife & daughter look
on. By the way the oblong building behind them is a gents toilet.

Well here we are back again in Oxford Street in 1960
on another day but today the horse was not a cart-horse pulling heavy loads
the horse was a cock-horse. That meant that it was the spare horse that was
kept ready at the bottom of a steep hill to assist another horse with a heavy
load up the hill.
