ANTRIM ROAD 4464
In the distance is Napoleon's nose which you can see from here on the Antrim
road as the tram passes Brookvale Avenue heading on out of the town back in
the early 1900's. To the right of the tram is a horse and flat top cart with
the driver doing deliveries Behind the horse and cart are the shop awnings
to protect the goods in the shop windows and when I worked in Royal Avenue
and it was raining I was able to walk the length of the avenue without getting
wet due to the shop awnings..A young girl on the right is waiting on her father
who is holding his son's hand so they can finish crossing the road. Now all
the people in the photograph are wearing shoes except for the two young boys
standing together at the start of Brookvale Avenue.
