Here we are back in 1964 on Abbey Street and the children going wild with excitment at the Elephants walking along. This was really a PR stunt so the kids would pester their parents
to take them to see the circus which was Chipperfields. Now 8 years before Chipperfields was over here in 1956 and so had hired a ferry to bring all their equipment, performers
and animals across. Then the Suez Canal crisis happened and the British goverment commandeered all ferry ships and so Chipperfields were stranded in Antrim for 7 months!
