GLENARIFFE
3676
This is Glenariffe with its lovely bay and long beach and in the background
are only a few houses and some have thatched roofs.
The photograph is a postcard and written on the back is the following: To
Miss W.L.McCord c/o The food Office, British Legion Hall, Antrim.
Monday 9th, My Dear Winnie, I never can remember your home address, so the
office will have to do. Having a grand time doing nothing but eat,
sleep, read and knit, not to mention bathing. Don't think I'll go back to
A.F.O. Had the photo on the other side been taken a little further along it
would have shown only houses. Sincerely P.Maelf.
The card was posted and stamped Glenariffe Co.Antrim 3.00pm 11 Sept 1944
