HAMILTON ROAD _4440
This is Hamilton road in 1911 and as you can see the photographer has persuaded the driver of the car to turn around facing the wrong way. While on the other side of the road he positioned the horse and cart with the two ladies with hats that I wouldn't like to sit behind and a man on the pavement. As always back then you had to stay still for the photograph but the horse hasn't an so its head is blurred. To the left of the car is Ward Park and the next street up on the left is Park Drive, Springfield Road is next on the right. The houses to the left in the background are on Castle Street. In the distance the first spire is of Hamilton Road Presbyterian and the other is Saint Columbanus.

LONG HOLE _4441
Here we are at Long hole which is every boys dream place in 1956. As you can see the three boys are having great fun trying to catch crabs with the dog eager to see one. The boys hopefully want to get large ones to take home to their mothers for tea.
